Progressive Librarians Guild

Do you strive to keep information free and accessible to all, to support libraries and literacy around the world and to collaborate with other student and community groups to take progressive action where action is needed?  Join the Progressive Librarians Guild!  For your membership you also receive the PLG journal by mail.  By signing up for the St. John’s University PLG chapter, half of your dues will go toward this organization, so it can continue to support web content and activities.  Contact Dr. Kevin Rioux for more information:


The Hudson Valley Library Association

A lively professional organization for school librarians in the New York metropolitan area invites you to register for membership!  In addition to the listserv filled with advice, support, job postings, and information this group holds seasonal themed meetings with guest speakers with a particular relevance to the profession.  The group establishes regular meet-ups to network, socialize and discuss relevant topics in a recreational setting.  There is a special reduced price for library students!
