Welcome! Linda Lennon

We are pleased to welcome Linda Lennon as the new Coordinator for School Librarianship.  Libraries were a second career for Mrs. Lennon. After graduating high school, she attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, working as a co-editor of the Advertising/Communication newsletter.  She has been an Assistant Editor at New Ingenue Magazine, the Beauty Editor at Teen Magazine, and the Associate Beauty Editor at Seventeen Magazine, where she wrote monthly columns and feature articles. Looking for a career change, she obtained her MLS at Long Island University/CW Post. Previously, Mrs. Lennon worked at Sunquam Elementary School where she had the pleasure of opening up a brand new library, as well as purchasing a start up collection, decorating, and maintaining a new space. She is now the library media specialist at Half Hollow High School West in Dix Hills on Long Island and a Children’s Librarian at Half Hallow Community Library, which she’s held for six and sixteen years, respectively.
